Criteria for admission into the Pilot Ompadec Science Centre now known as the Niger Delta Science School are listed hereunder:
(i) Candidate must have successfully completed the JSSCE at the time of registration at the centre.
(ii) Must be between the ages of 13 – 15 years.
(iii) Having satisfied all the above, the candidates are expected to pass the entrance examination before going through an oral interview.
(iv) Final selection however is based on quota as stipulated hereunder:
Merit 20%
Locality 60%
NDDC/Ompadec States 15%
Discretion 5%
